The Stimulant Epidemic
Today's video will cover recent news about yet another telehealth company allegedly in hot water for contributing to the ever growing over utilization of stimulants in America. See the link below for the full news release from the department of justice:
www.justice.gov/opa/pr/founderceo-and-clinical-president-digital-health-company-arrested-100m-adderall-distribution
The rest of the video will include my opinions and commentary of what I feel is a growing epidemic in America, the Stimulant Epidemic. Topics covered will include:
*The fact that America has a disproportionate amount of the contribution to ADHD diagnoses across the globe.
*Discussing the problematic way that the mental health field approaches diagnosing ADHD
*Other factors that are likely contributors to the growing over use and misuse of stimulants.

    This video is dangerous. Fancy new word for delirium tremens, "alcoholic hallucinosis". What you said about blood alcohol level makes no sense. "If you have blood alcohol level you will experience withdrawal". The opposite is true. Not sure what game you are playing? Clueless or feeding off vulnerable people. Clckbait Are you even certified? I hope not. Sickeningly youtude is full off this uncensored nonsense 😒 Addiction is not entertainment.

    I’ve recently begun drinking after going sober for two years. I went to Vegas and drank about 4-5 tall IPA a day(9%)for 7 days. I suppose my withdrawal symptoms are rather mild however I’m still wondering if I should ask a doctor for a couple days worth of medication for support. I tapered off yesterday and today I quit completely. Haven’t slept in two nights.

    Fearful? Heck yes. I am dependent on 1 mg at night for sleep and starting to developed tolerance so therefor experiencing brain tremor, seizure, blurred vision, fatigue, weak and speaking legs, dizziness and falling. I don’t drink or smoke. I tried at home weaning with a psychiatrist and on the third day I work in the middle of the night with my brain shaking in my head and my heart beating very very fast. I was confused in a total panic. Yes I am terrified. I’m 57 and have been on this horrible drug for 5 years under Dr supervision. A 400 mg hydrocodone would have done the trick for sleep But noooooo. I was told no and given a. dangerous drug that causes brain injury. Iam not the same WillI ever be the same? I was a very active athletic healthy happy life. Ow I’m agoraphobic and can’t stand the sun. DO NOT EVER TAKE THESE DRUGS. See those people on the street delirious and messed up? Just maybe it’s not fentanyl maybe it’s benzos. F this sht and psychiatrists are the worst.

    As a current struggling alcoholic, thank you. I've been drinking myself to sleep, to calm my mind, for over a decade. I've been through shakes, insomnia, and last September I actually was hallucinating and hearing things/seeing people in my room after being sick for 3 days. December 2020 I was diagnosed with pancreatitis. 2021 I went to treatment for 3 months, was sober for 10 months, but went back to drinking beer. Went back to treatment for a month in 2022, and 3 months in 2023. Still drinking.... I'm down to 4 beers a day, but I'm still struggling. Withdrawals are a serious thing.

    Sir, can I ask you an important question about my serious sleep problem this is all about my severe insomnia since you are a certified psychiatrist I can see it in your own website because I can't sleep anymore without taking Clonazepam with a brand name called Rivotril that I used to take It's been 15 years since I started taking this tablet and my dosages have increased now, more often I did not follow the correct dosages and when to take this medicine everytime that I have a serious personal problem on me my anxiety,depression,nervousness and my chest begin to tight and I have trouble breathing all of this things will follow and that's the time I will take 1 or sometimes 2 tablet in a row on some severe occation at any given time, my number one question is this is there any medication on the market today that will put to an end to the people just like me who are so dependent and keep relying only with this drug and if there is so Sir please share it by replying on this comment as your help to all the people who suffer from this disease and addiction with this drug, that's all and thank you in-advance Doctor Kim. 🙏🖐

    1:53 Consult with your doctor... NO !!! My doctor told me, that small amounts of alcohol is beneficial in treating type 2 diabetes. Absolute nonsense... he also said, that I should take my pills and eat normally... nonsense as well. Doctors do not realize, that the medical profession is not only unable to fight metabolic as well as addiction related illness... they make it worse... at least many medical professionals do. The medical profession is incompetent, corrupt, greedy, arrogant and destructive. I can list you at least a dozen topic which are front and center for every patient, yet the medical community is either not addressing it at all or have opposing advice.

    How big alcohol gets a pass and big tobacco doesn't is beyond me. Its obviously a contributor to dementia. Companies like Minhas distilleries profit from selling cheap low quality poison to all of us. They produce an extremely cheap 45% vodka that only alcoholics and college kids drink. Pioneers in the growing ultra cheap beer/hard spirits category. She's like a hero up here in Canada, even appointed as an Honorary Colonel. A slap in the face to all the men and women that served and now suffer from alcoholism and PTSD.

    how does one come off alcohol in a non hospital setting? is there a protocol for titrating people with alcohol to prevent symptoms?

    • @skyguyflyinghigh
      @skyguyflyinghigh 7 днів тому

      unfortunately there's no real non-hospital setting treatment except slowly cutting back, you could buy a commercial breathalyzer if it helps keep track, personally the biggest bump for me is sleep, have to make sure to chug something before bed since you're asleep for a while and your body is metabolising whilst resting, so if you don't it can get messy as you wake up with blood alcohol too low to ignore the nausea and too low to avoid withdrawals, there are also rehab centers to help, some take inpatients and will prescribe things to help the withdrawals, i had seizures lately from slowing down too fast, be careful man, but i believe in you, reach out for any help available if you can find it.

    I'm a bit confused. I talked to someone who did a lot of work figuring out energy drinks about 15 years ago. And at that time they told us to stay away from them, and that they had twice or more the amount of caffeine as coffee. But then when I look up the caffeine amounts in coffee and energy drinks now that math doesn't add up. Are they lying about how much caffeine in energy drinks? And when considering this, the amount of caffeine you quoted for Monster energy did NOT match up with what online articles said for the same drink; they quoted it half what you quoted. So I'm thinking your figures are right and that many articles are misleading or lying about the amount of caffeine? ... Edited in later; well after hearing the rest of your video the question answered itself from your data and wisdom. Thank you Dr. Kim. And yes these drinks are bad for you. I hope you take care of yourself so you can guide people to better wisdom and health.
